Railroad crossing repairs scheduled for Milton Street

Motorists advised to expect delays

Milton Street will be closed on October 4, 5 & 6 to facilitate railroad crossing repairs. Southern Rail is working with the City replacing the old rubber mats with new rubber flanges. These repairs will result in a smoother travel surface and transition across the tracks.

Motorists are asked to avoid Milton Street between Hecate St and Albert St during construction and obey traffic control. Access for local residents will be permitted but there will be no through traffic on Milton St.
The City of Nanaimo would like to thank residents and motorists for their patience during this road closure.
