College Park Water Supply Main Construction set to start

Water main to be constructed on Nanaimo Parkway / College Drive

Summary

The College Drive Water Supply Main construction project will start in early November, continuing until March. The new water main will be constructed along the Nanaimo Parkway to College Drive and along College Drive to the City's reservoirs.

During daytime construction hours from late November through early January, the Parkway will have one southbound lane closed, south of College Dr/Fifth Street. From January through March, College Drive may experience temporary complete closures as well as restricted traffic access.

  • The new 750 mm water main will significantly strengthen the City's water supply network and will support continued capacity for growth.
  • Drivers are asked to be careful, especially travelling southbound on the Parkway. Please obey all construction signage and traffic control personnel. At this time of year it can be difficult to see construction vehicles and personnel.
