Review Process for City’s 2018-2022 Financial Plan Nearing Completion

The Finance and Audit Committee will review the Final 2018–2022 Financial Plan at their special meeting on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Vancouver Island Conference Centre's Shaw Auditorium beginning at 9:00 am.

"City staff will present the 2018 budget proposal for Council's consideration," said, Deputy Financial Officer, Laura Mercer, "Included in the plan is the City's commitment to asset management reflected by the 1% annual increased contribution to the Asset Management Reserve for future infrastructure replacement."

Council approved a provisional 2018-2022 Financial Plan on January 15, 2018 which has been updated to reflect any changes in priorities since. Following the presentation at the Finance and Audit Committee meeting, the Financial Plan and Property Tax bylaws will be brought in front of Council for consideration at their next meeting.

The 2018–2022 Financial Plan information is available on the City’s website under the Finance and Audit Committee agenda.
