Tickets still available for the 2018 Culture & Heritage Awards Ceremony
Celebrating the best of Nanaimo's culture and heritage on April 5, 2018

On Thursday, April 5, 2018, the City of Nanaimo will recognize the best of Nanaimo's culture and heritage with the 2018 Culture & Heritage Awards Ceremony. Tickets for this free event are still available.
"We encourage anyone who is interested in Nanaimo's culture and heritage to attend," said, Culture and Heritage Coordinator, Chris Barfoot, "Please reserve your free tickets today."
The ceremony, an evening of recognition and local entertainment, will be held in the Port Theatre at 6:30 pm (doors open at 5:45 pm) to honour the following recipients:
*EXCELLENCE IN CULTURE - Mr. Rick Scott *HONOUR IN CULTURE - Mr. William Good *HONOUR IN HERITAGE - Ms. Jan Peterson *LIFETIME CULTURAL ACHIEVEMENT - Ms. Audrey Alexandra Brown
There will be presentations by:
*VIBRANT DANCE STUDIO *RICK SCOTT *NANAIMO'S POET LAUREATE - TINA BIELLO *CANADA'S PARLIAMENTARY POET LAUREATE 2017 - GEORGE ELLIOTT CLARKE *THE FOOTPRINTS OF THE WOLF *SNUNEYMUXW YOUTH DANCE GROUP
