Nanaimo's Affordable Housing Strategy Nears Completion

Public survey now online; final open house on August 22

Summary

After nearly a year of talking to the community about housing issues and priorities and identifying solutions, Nanaimo's Affordable Housing Strategy is nearing completion.

There are two more opportunities to provide your input on how to improve housing affordability and accessibility in our city: An online survey will be available on the City's website until August 23, and an Open House will be held on Wednesday, August 22 from 5 - 8 PM at the Bowen Park Auditorium (500 Bowen Road).

The goal of these events is to solicit feedback on how the City plans to address the issues and priorities identified through the Affordable Housing Strategy process. You can read more about what we've learned so far and the proposed policy options in the Affordable Housing Discussion Paper, which is available on the project page at www.nanaimo.ca/goto/AHS under the 'Documents' tab. The online survey can be found on the project page and at http://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Nanaimo.
