Summary
The Public Engagement Pilot Program will wrap up with the fourth and final session taking place on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in Beban Park Social Centre. This session aims to further community engagement and public conversation by focusing on building relationships between Council and neighbourhoods.
Facilitated by Larissa Cozer with moderators from the Young Professionals of Nanaimo, the session will involve round table discussions organized by neighbourhoods where attendees will have the opportunity to meet members of the new Council, share what they love about their neighbourhoods, identify issues of concern and work together on solutions. The session will begin promptly at 7 pm so participants are asked to arrive and be in their seats by that time.
Space is limited. Residents planning to attend are asked to RSVP by Monday, November 19, 2018 to PublicEngagement@nanaimo.ca or 250-755-4460 ext 4265. To prepare for the session, resources and materials are available on the Public Engagement Pilot Program page at www.nanaimo.ca/goto/engagement or see the link in the online version of this news release.
