Council appoints director to Nanaimo Port Authority Board

Ms. Michelle Corfield receives second term

Summary

In accordance with the Canada Marine Act, Nanaimo City Council has appointed Ms. Michelle Corfield to the Nanaimo Port Authority (NPA) Board in the position of Director. With a three-year term, Corfield will serve in the role until June 30, 2021.

A call for applications went out in late September with a deadline for submissions of 4:30 p.m. on October 31, 2018.

This will be the second term for Corfield. She served as a director from July 1, 2015 through to June 30, 2018.
Appointments to the NPA Board are set for a period of three years and can be renewed twice for a maximum of nine consecutive years.
