The City of Nanaimo is now accepting applications from community organizations seeking financial assistance to support downtown Nanaimo events in 2020 through Downtown Event Revitalization Grants. These grants support events and initiatives that attract residents and visitors to the downtown.
Guidelines, criteria and application forms can be found online (www.nanaimo.ca > Culture & Environment > Grants), attached to this news release, in person at the Service & Resource Centre (411 Dunsmuir Street) or by contacting us directly. The deadline for application submission is Monday, October 21, 2019 (no later than 4:00 pm).
Link to Strategic Plan: The Downtown Event Revitalization Grants support “Livability” by supporting culture as an integral part of everyday life in Nanaimo. As well, they support the 2014-2020 Cultural Plan for a Creative Nanaimo's strategy to support ongoing and stable core funding to non-profit arts and cultural organizations to enable them to leverage funding from other sources.
