City Appoints New General Manager of Corporate Services

Summary

The City of Nanaimo is pleased to announce the appointment of Shelley Legin as the new General Manager, Corporate Services, effective January 20, 2020.

Ms. Legin most recently held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President of Administration with Vancouver Island University (VIU). She brings to the City a strong and diverse background in finance, risk and emergency management, public relations, strategy development, and governance.

Her career spans over 30 years with the past 20 in senior executive leadership positions within government, private, and co-operative sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Administration degree from the University of Regina, a Masters of Business Administration from Queen’s University, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
