Application deadline extended for membership on Council Remuneration Task Force

Summary
The deadline for applications to the City of Nanaimo's Council Remuneration Task Force (CRTF) has been extended one week to March 19, 2020. The task force will provide an impartial and objective review of the current remuneration paid to Mayor and Council and provide recommendations for a remuneration structure to be implemented by the fall of 2020.
Comprised of up to six members selected from the community the task force will be appointed by the selection committee on the basis of their experience and credentials in one or more of the following areas:
- Management experience of a large or complex organization
- Business and/or legal experience
- Local government or other public sector experience
- Accounting or finance experience
- Human Resources and benefits experience
The CRTF will meet bi-weekly with an objective to have recommendations finalized by the fall of 2020.
Interested residents must submit a completed application form to the Legislative Services Department by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020. Applications may be delivered by mail or hand to Legislative Services, 455 Wallace Street, Nanaimo, BC V9R 5J6 or email to Legislative.Servicesoffice@nanaimo.ca
