City Invites Nominations for 2022 Culture & Heritage Awards

Summary
The City of Nanaimo is seeking public nominations from the community for the 2022 Culture & Heritage Awards. The awards recognize outstanding organizations, groups and individuals in the arts, culture and heritage fields.
This is the community's opportunity to recognize people and groups they believe have made a significant contribution to making Nanaimo a culturally vibrant city. There are five potential categories to nominate from, and recipients will be recognized at a special celebration at the Port Theatre in April 2022:
- EXCELLENCE IN CULTURE
- HONOUR IN CULTURE
- EMERGING CULTURAL LEADER (under 30 years of age)
- HONOUR IN HERITAGE
- JOHN THOMSON HERITAGE MEMORIAL
