Caledonia Park

We always want to keep our information up to date. If you see any information we're missing, let us know at parksandrecreation@nanaimo.ca.

Description

Caledonia Park is located adjacent to Bowen Park and the Nanaimo Curling Centre. A number of field sports use the park and cinder track on site. The park is also the site of a number of annual community events.

The City acquired the park in 1953 from the Railway Company. The Railway Company had gifted it to the Nanaimo Caledonia Society to establish a cricket pitch in 1891. The structures and grandstand were built in the 1950s, so the field itself has been there since the late 19th century / early 20th century.
