Finding a relative

If you are unsure where your loved one has been laid to rest, you can submit a Genealogy Research Request.

Making arrangements for burial

Funeral homes generally make burial arrangements. If you are not organizing the burial through a funeral home, please contact us. We require a minimum of three business days to schedule an interment into a Nanaimo Cemetery. Please see the required Cemetery Forms.

Available plots

Currently there are only plots available in the Chinese Cemetery and they are sold at the time of need.

Marker responsibility

Markers are the family’s responsibility. Families must arrange for installation, repairs, and addition of names. This work must be completed by an approved monument company.

Please contact us if you would like a list of approved monument companies.
