Northfield/Boundary/Old Island Highway Update for Aug 3-10, 2018

Please be advised the following detours remain in effect as construction continues on the Northfield/Boundary/Old Island Highway (Highway 19A) intersections.  

Northfield/Boundary/Highway 19A roads will be affected as follows:

  1. Northfield Road & Highway 19A (Tuesday August 7 – Friday August 10)

    During periods of active work

    • Tuesday, August 7, from 7 am to 8 pm, Northfield Road will be closed from Highway 19A to Duggan Road. There will not be access to or from Northfield Road to Highway 19A.
    • Wednesday, August 8, from 7 am to 5 pm, Northfield Road westbound will be closed from Highway 19A to Duggan Road. There will not be access to Northfield Road from Highway 19A.
    • Thursday, August 9, from 7 am to 5 pm, Northfield Road will be closed from Highway 19A to Duggan Road. There will not be access to or from Northfield Road to Highway 19A.
    • Friday – No restrictions

    Outside of active work

    • No restrictions

    2. Boundary Avenue

    • Boundary Avenue between Northfield Road and Mallard Drive will be closed 24hours/day until further notice (local traffic only)

    **Please note – no active work on the BC Day Holiday - Monday August 6, 2018.

ALTERNATE ROUTES:

Northbound

  • Highway 19A – please use Dorman Rd. or Waddington Rd.
  • Boundary Ave. – please use Meredith Rd. to Bowen Rd.

Southbound

  • Highway 19A – please use Dorman Rd. or Waddington Rd.
  • Boundary Ave. – please use Highway 19A and Waddington Rd.
