Missed Curbside Collection: What you should know

Tuesday, February 11, 2025

Since last week’s snowfall, some residents’ garbage and recycling have been picked up while others have not. City crews have been successful on roads where it has been safe to navigate large vehicles. While we understand this may cause great frustration we ask for and appreciate your patience and kindness.

If your collection was missed or delayed:

Missed Garbage Collections

Black carts will be picked up on your next scheduled garbage collection day. You may place extra, securely tied bagged garbage out with your carts. Please place the extra garbage one metre away from the carts to allow the automated truck arm room to operate.

Missed Recycling Collections
Blue carts will be picked up on your next scheduled recycling collection day. Additional blue cart recyclables can be placed loosely in an open container one metre away from your carts at the curb.

Please place carts either in the cleared portion of your driveway or another cleared section next to the curb on collection day. Please do not place carts in the roadway.
