Community Safety and Wellbeing

As a municipality, our responsibility is limited by legislation and resources, yet we continue to advocate to the provincial and federal government for their commitment and support in the areas that fall under their mandate such as addressing crime, the opioid crisis, addictions, mental health and housing affordability. The City is committed to working with partners, including all levels of government, to take a leadership role and address the responsibilities and services that fall under the variety of  jurisdictions.

To share information regarding the many initiatives and programs the City has in place to address concerns related to housing affordability and public safety in our community, a Community Safety and Wellbeing document has been prepared.

On this page, you will find a number of helpful links to City programs, resources and contacts you can reach out to and the areas of responsibility that are within their control.
